Knit covered bangles featured in Vogue Holiday Issue

What a fantastic idea!! The hard part actually turned out to be finding bangles. I went to several places like Target and Kohls but the bangles were about $15.00 each. More than I wanted to pay! I finally hit pay-dirt at Pier One. Back in a corner I found a large basket of bangles… Continue

The winner is the Balmoral Thistle Shawl!

Thank you all so much for helping me narrow down my lace shawl choice. It was a win/win situation for me since I want to knit all three. Now, rather than being bogged down by indecision, I will be able to immediately get started on the Balmoral Thistle… Continue

Prayer Shawl is on its way

I am astounded at how quickly this shawl knit up and how happy I am with the results. It feels light as a cobweb and is a perfect size. Long enough to wrap generously around my friend's shoulders. It is also narrow to fit on a hospital bed.

The blocking went quickly… Continue

Knitting a Guitar?

This DVD cover certainly captured my knitter's imagination! If you go to the Young at Heart site, you can watch the trailer. And, the best part is watching the knitting needles working in the very beginning. I've put th… Continue

Thank you, so much, Kelly, for the podcasts. I am new to knit picks, but thoroughly in love with it, and am waiting on my third order in just two weeks. LOL I am working through the podcasts from the earliest upwards. I love to just sit and knit and listen. I love the pattern of segments, especially the book segment. It's also nice to 'meet' the staff. What a great bunch. I don't know if you've heard this before, but you have the most soothing and relaxing voice. I will be sorry to get all caught up on the podcasts and have to wait a week for the next one. ;) Thanks for all the tips and humor and...well...yes, your company. Kiss little Zina for me. If I make a trip to WA, I will come by and kiss her myself. I, too, knit with "babies" in my lap; two toy poodles. Anyway...thank you, again for the excellent podcasts.

Hi Kelly,
I bought the pattern for the diagonal rib pullover and merino style in Iris to make it. I have EZ knitting without tears so I know how to knit it in the round which has been very nice so far. What I'm not sure of is how to manage the decreases for the sleeve caps. Or if I even need them. That's not in EZ's book. So if you could give me some insight on this I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Stacy

I've been busy knitting my first pair of socks using the magic loop method and listening to your podcasts (recently downloaded all of them to my iPod) and thoroughly enjoying both!

Thanks!

Thanks Kelly for your welcome. I have made the baby sweater (see atavar) and have the blanket in progress. I also have done the mittens. Am working up the courage to try the Pi shawl. I have a lace triangular shawl on the needles. Charlotte

Thanks Kelly!
Actually I just started playing with mitered squares on my knitting looms! It's super easy and fun!

(My latest little design!)
I think one of the pulls of miters is the seamless or semi seamless contruction they can produce! Also each square can turn out differently if you are using self striping or varigated yarn! Each one has it's own personality!
I can tell you it is never dull!!
