About Me:
I help spread the word about all of Knit Picks newest products and promotions as a member of the marketing department.

I'm a pretty new knitter so I like projects that are cheery, a little quirky, and quick and easy to make. Legwarmers, fingerless mittens a la Madonna, and pretty colors like Neptune and Moroccan Red are right up my alley.

First sweater recommendations?

I FINISHED something! Yippeeee!

My monster laptop bag is finally done. I especially like the teeth. I'm still looking for the perfect pair of monster eye buttons, but other than that, it's finished. I think maybe I'll name it Norman. Now that I've completed Norman, I've c… Continue

Harry Potter House colors

I have to admit that I'm not the hugest Harry Potter fan in my family. My dad and my sister have both read all of the books, and I've only read, um, 2 chapters of Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone. BUT I have seen all the movies. Since my dad is such a big fan, I'm thinkin… Continue

Back to School!

Around here this seems to be the week that students of all ages are heading back to school, much to the relief of some of the moms I know. :)

The students at Platte Cove School in Elka Park, New York started classes this week, and I hope the transition from summer to… Continue

I would like to get the new sock samplers, but am afraid to waste my money. I have never knit a pair of socks though I really want to do so. What to do???

Thanks Angela. I will give the "blog" a try, later, when the pace at our house slows down a little...I will try by placing a pattern on it.

Hi Angela,
Thanks for the prompt reply. It works! But now I dont know how to take it off my page! I tried it there first before sending it to Cristin.
As for the "blog" do you post patterns on it? Or is it more as a "diary" kind of thing? I find my life very interesting, but, would others? And would they care what, where and how much I knit and do other "things"?

Hello Angela,
referring to a message i sent you on April 24th.... I tried to paste it on Cristin's page but it did not come out, just the text????
I typed it in WORD and then used copy/paste. Can you pls explain where i went wrong?
It is a grid? chart? pattern for the blanket pattern she wanted.
Thanx for any help.

Hi Angela - not sure if you're the one running the poll, but I wanted to just add a comment - I would LOVE to see KnitPicks offer more plus size (1X-3X) sizing and patterns - Kelley's recent podcast with the editor of Big Girl Knits was wonderful, and it'd be great to see more options at my Favorite Yarn Site/Store (knitpicks.com) for my own figure. :-) Thanks!

Hi Angela,
Thank you for your comments on my Baby Blanket. cristin has asked me to share the pattern.....how do I this and do you allow it? I dont remember where i got the "original" heart design. I adapted it over the yrs so that each heart has a nice left and right side: same fr the "ribbon lace" in the same pattern...
Thanks fr any help you can give me.
Ingrid
