- I've been knitting and crocheting for over 50 years but in spurts mostly -- on again, off again. I also do cross stitch and needlepoint. I just recently retired (at least partially) and am enjoying catching up on reading and needlework.
Since I live in a very small town in the middle of mostly nowhere, I'm having trouble finding fellow knitters, but I did connect with a great group of younger women in Savannah and drive over there about once a month to join their knit-in at a local pub.

I've been missing my writing ---
it's been way too long since I last posted. A busy time for me. For some reason everyone who has a hook into me for any kinds of groups/projects/etc has called due lately. oh well! Let's see if I can fill you in a bit. What have I been doing that's craft related? Well, I did finally get all the acrylic yarns into Ravelry. Another quiet Sunday morning
I played hooky this morning and skipped church just for the peace and quiet of not having to get ready and then drive 20+ miles and such. There are just times I really don't want to leave the house for much of anything and today seems to be one of them. I did walk out on the deck earlier this morning and scratched kitty cat ears for a while. And I've drunk more than my usual quota of hot tea this morning as well. Ravelry Stash & WIP Projects
'Lo Buddies, Just a quick note to let you know that I've now added the Belle Epoque socks and the Spiral & Eyelet scarf to the project section of my notebook in Ravelry. And I finally got the 'good' yarns into the Stash listing. No photos but lots of nice yarns. I didn't enter the acrylic stuff yet but will try to get to that one of these days. Getting worse -- not better
I know, I know. I'm relapsing into non-communication. Let me try to catch up with the last couple of busy weeks. Have I mentioned that I'm having to drive to Savannah twice a week? That's 140 miles round trip each time -- not to mention 3 hours plus the hour in the doctor's office. Dr. Tao is a physician from China who is not recognized as a neurosurgeon here but practices accupuncture and Chinese (herbal) medicine. Sleepy Sunday
Hello again. Not quite such a long break this time. I've managed to do just what I planned with this long weekend. Vegging out mostly. Some knitting; listening to some podcasts; watching movies (baseball schedule has been terrible); and not much else tho I did make it to church this morning.
