Not trying to tempt you, or anything.

There has been some buzz around about the lovely new bright blue Palette:) So I thought I'd give y'all a closer look.

The color is Cyan, and let me tell you - it really, really is Cyan! If you're a fan of blue printer ink, you are going to love this one. Personally, I think it's an awesome 'pop' color for colorwork designs. It's not a really warm or a particularly cool blue, so it sets off greys and browns quite well. I think it looks darn good with hot pink, but then doesn't everything?

My favorite new additions to Palette (Though it's a close call with everything else we just added) is definitely the new beachy-peachy colors: Mai Tai Heather, Conch and Rose Hip.

They are bright without being overbearing, which i really love. They really capture the 'pop' of the natural rosy peach colors you'd find in a flower or shell.
And then there's the new purples (you can just see some in the above image). Oddly, I'm not a real purple person, yet about half the yarn that appeals to me is purple. So when Mulberry, Lantana and Ladyslipper rolled into our office, I really couldn't resist. I may just be doing something with them in the upcoming Colorwork Knitalong that Melissa is starting soon... you'll have to join and find out!

To everyone who asked about a release date - believe it or not, I don't know when it's going online! I know the new yarns get phased in over a week or so, but as for a date.. not sure!

When we pick new colors for a line, we generally look at how well colors do, and use that to determine what sorts of colors should be introduced. So, if a line is muted, it's likely to stay that way, since there's not as much demand for the brighter colors. Likewise, if the less energetic colors aren't doing as well, we throw more brights in there. So the more people swipe up those bright colors, the more you'll see! ;-) Palette is unique among our yarns in that you wouldn't be likely to make an entire garment in one color, and small doses of a really vivid color can do amazing things in colorwork. So, we have a lot of room for those brights in Palette!

I love the conch and the mulberry! When will these be available for purchase?

Will you also add such fun & bright colours to Elegance, Andean Treasure, Shimmer, etc. - in other words any alpaca/alpaca-silk with no or only minimal wool/merino content. Am asking as I have issues with wearing wool. More & brighter colours that can be combined for those yarns would be terrific. Thanks!

Will there be any new kits with the newer colors?
I still have my Sipalu bag - all in its package, waiting until I get the right needles and confidence for that one... but one day - I will have the bag!

Oh, please tell us when all the color will be online, to droll over and start planning? The hat on my profile picture was made using palette. I love this yarn.

Would love to see more sampler project kits for palette along the lines of the sipalu bag. Fun way to play with lots of color!

I can't take it!! If I keep drooling like this the family is going to have me committed. As it is I couldn't stop talking about the new needles at work today after listening to the podcast yesterday .Then when my co-worker brought in her lace catalog today I couldn't help going on about Stroll and the new Gloss yarns. All I can say is I like it all even if they are "my" colors or not they are all fabulous. OK must get the heart racing to stop.
