As a relative state, happiness is what psychologists call our subjective well-being and, fortunately for us, it is a state that we can actively change for the better. Here are 20 ways to start.

Everyone longs for happiness, but few possess it. The pursuit… Continue

Yarn Basket Sharing the gift of knitting.

Hi knitter's: i just listened to Kelley's latest podcast. It was so nice hearing from the knitter's. Susan and Peggy have often helped me with a project. It was great hearing them for the first time! Recently I gave my sister a gift of a loom knitting DVD. She brought a loom a year ago but was nervous about trying to do it. She came up to the house last weekend and we had a knit along. It was wonderful. She taught herself how to do itit and she made me a hat! Now I got her hooked on loom knitt… Continue

Christine Sloat Oink... Oink...

Can you say "swine flu" without coughing... I can't. Have had a terrible bout with this "porker" of a flu bug. It was so bad that I did not knit for a week... and even my husband noticed! I am woefully behind on Christmas knitting, the Mystery Colorwork KAL, and more. Love and best to all of my knitting buddies.… Continue

Jenny Works in progress- Hat and scarf for my mom

Barbara Longley Barbara's Blog - Too Many Chores - Not Enough Knitting!!

At last I managed to find some new couches that would come through the modern British narrow doorways. It's quite common these days to have to remove a window to get a couch in, and I didn't want to have to do this. I had recovered the old one so many times and now the foam was beginning to crumble in places. It was the last thing in the house to be replaced since my retirement 5 years ago. My son and I spent a day demolishing it ready to dispose of at the tip. All manner of chores, basically de… Continue

Susan the Blue Lake Knitter November Fiber Guild Meeting

We had out monthly fiber guild meeting this evening. It will be our last meeting for the year, as several members have so many committments in December that a meeting was nearly impossible. We will meet next on January 9 for our annual dinner meeting (usually held at Christmas) At today's meeting, we discussed plans for our dinner, reviewed several acknowledgements received by members or friends of members.
