About Me:
I am a wife, mommy, and Creative Memories Consultant. When I’m not busy with all that I try to knit. :) I love to knit with pink. I try to buy other colors but they always seem to have pink somewhere. My favorite thing to knit right now is socks. I started knitting just before my ex left me and I am so glad I did. It has helped me so much. Knitting has kept me sane…all though others think I am insane but we know that is their problem. :)

    My Plans

So I decided that it was time to write a blog post. I am so bad about it. I have another blog that is sorely neglected but I know that more people actually read this one so it is time to try to start posting more often. Anyway, today I am going to try to finish up my mystery knitting project so I am all ready for the steeking on Friday. I also am working on finishing my Central Park Hoodie before I start on a sweater for Ben (hopefully to be done by Christmas, but most likely it won't be). I am… Continue

    Mr. Foster is Done!

Finally I finished my Mr. Foster. It feels good to have him done but now I have two more to knit. I have promised one in a police costume (as Ben calls the security officer) and I'm going to knit Hadi one in self striping sock yarn and purple. Today I was finishing up the tail at the doctor's office and I got quite a few sideways glances. Just imagine what a monkey tail all by itself looks like. I didn't think of it until I got home and told my mom. LOL My mom did the embroidery for me since I a… Continue

    The Joy of Teaching Knitting

In my knitting "career" I have taught just a couple of people to knit until now. I was hired a couple of months ago to teach "cultural enrichement craft classes" for the Coquille Indian Tribe of which my husband is a member. I put cultural enrichment classes in quotes because there is no record that the tribe ever knit but pretty much any craft will do for the grant they have. Anyway, the tribe buys all the supplies and pays me to teach. They even have an awesome house just for this purpose with… Continue

    Franklin the Cowboy

Well finally Franklin has one of his costumes. I have finished the Cowboy one. Ben was very excited to get it and we put it on him right away. That poor turtle is well loved. I'm not sure how long he will survive. The shells seem to be surviving good though so I can always make another turtle if need be. I'd rather he play with it than it just sit around in perfect shape. So without further ado, I present to you...Franklin (Sheldon) the Cowboy!

I've been thinking about your teaching lately, how's it going? We could use an update blog... :) I need some pointers, now, maybe... (see my latest blog post)

Yeah, it is a long drive from Oregon. My husband lived there for a while, and we've been wanting to go visit some of his friends, and so he can show me around, but the distance has been a problem. We'll get there one day, though.

Paul and Ruthie Kendall-they pastored at the Church of God for many years and then retired and lived in Coos Bay. They recently moved to Kansas to be closer to family because of Paul's failing health. I am also friends with Lois Richards who still attends the Church there. I also have friends in the Portland area. I was in Oregon this past Spring speaking at the state Womens' Convention in Salem.

Hi, I really like your home page, especially the scripture picture message that is great! Looking forward to getting to know you on this knitting community. What part of Oregon do you live in, if you don't mind me asking? I have several very good friends in the state.
