Hey Irene :) Well Gf I can't Help the Cheerful ..I am 1woman who knows Shes Blessed therefore I have No Right to Gripe or Complain about AnyThing Ever !! My pal Julie also seems to be the very Same way you'd just love her if You got to know her :)) Now as for Drops I'm assuming it's a website & I'm Not at All Familiar with it .. In Fact I mentioned lately I really haven't had Time for Ravelry .. Being a Newbie Spinner I had No Idea How much Roving I'd Need or About how Long it Lasts ?? So I just went ahead and Ordered a Whole Bunch of Different Weights of Roving like 2ounces of this 4 ounces of that 8 ounces of this Etc Well I went thru "2" Different Practice Rovings and then Moved on to the Much Prettier Colors ...well I've been Spinning this Dark Blue Multi for like almost a Week now and I'm Still Not Done Spinning it !! Should be Done Finally when I Pick it Up Next Time ..Finally I sure am Ready to Move on to Another Color :))) Btw I Celebrate as Many Holidays as I possibly can !! I think lifes to Short to Do Otherwise !!

I am doing fine and actually finished ALL my Christmas gift knitting! I think starting in July helped. My family and I are heading out to Hawaii tomorrow for two weeks and I'm bringing the Forest Canopy Shawl to knit while I'm on the plane and on vacation. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!
Oh Irene I bet those Prayer are Just Stunning !! Well as Sweet as You are I'm Not All Suprised Youd do something that Thoughtful !! Lost My hubby back in 89 to MS so I totally Understand What you're dealing with !
Thanks for your comment about 'Puck'! I have to give my husband the design credit, but it was fun to knit. Your stitch markers are beautiful!! And your grandkids are adorable. Especially the little guy with the fish!
Irene,
Thanks! Yes, I had so much fun knitting all of these things, and my DDIL was surprised, even though she picked out the colors for the sweater, and approved of the colors for the bag, but had not seen it knit up. Everyone there was very pleased. And she will use her handknit items, too. --S
All of ours happen to live in Houston along with extended family. This will be the first Christmas in a long time that won't be at our house. My SIL will have our celebration at her house this year. Hope you will have a merry one. I can't believe it is already just around the corner.
Good to hear from you! I love all the pictures you've posted since I last visited your site. You've been a busy knitter! Everything is beautiful I was going to say what I liked best, but can't make up my mind.maybe the clapotis..maybe the needlepoint..maybe the socks..maybe the afghan...too much to choose. And..if you ever want to give that darling dog away, I'll take him in a heartbeat!
A friend asked me to knit her some Christmas Stockings to match the ones she has had since the early 50s. She had the original pattern and that's what I've been working on. Had to do it on size 1 needles and it seemed to take forever! I've finished one and started the second one. She wanted one for this Christmas but the others don't have to be done until next year. Of course, I'll get them done as soon as I can. I'm using a size 2 on the second stocking and there is a huge difference between a 1 and a 2, so think this one will go a bit faster. (She says with her fingers crossed)
I did give the afghan away. Tonight, it is really cold and I'm using my Sock Blankie to keep the chill off.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.

Ps..Did you make the sock monkey from a sock or did you knit it? It is so cute.
Oops, I didn't finish before posting. Most of my shopping is done. We've gotten to where we don't do lots of presents for Christmas. There aren't any little ones so we would rather just spend the time with each other.
