My Hemi is blocking!!

Yes, before coffee this AM, I pinned the newly completed Hemi to my bed--from head to foot, from box springs to box springs it laps over!! sprayed it good and turned on the ceiling fan. Hope that it, and the bed are dry before tonight!!
I'm sooo thrilled with my first piece of lace!!--Picture to follow!!

Cellogirl-
Thanks for the comment on my potholder and it's i-cord!! I really don't know where I found that pattern. I'm pretty sure I copied it and charted it out from a photograph of a sweater. Either in a catalog or pattern book. I couldn't find the original picture I took it from when I was adding the project to Ravelry. I started that thing 2 or 3 years ago and just finished it this summer!! -PickPeg

Yes, HERE is the link for the Mystery KAL shawl on Ravelry. You have to go to the projects tab to see what it is looking like. There are several on there that are quite beautiful. The name literally means 'Bride of the Wind'. I guess I was excited about a Mystery KAL because of our colorwork one, but I'm not finishing too good on that one!! I was 3 weeks behind when she announced to 'do the whole thing again'. So now I really need to get going on that!! I have the Marianne Kinzel books- I'll have to look it up in there. I bought the Chinook lace shawl kit- but just plan on using the lace yarn for other projects- I have two daughters (both very girly girls), so I knew the pink yarn would definitely be used!!

Oh, that EMW has kicked my butt!! I'm going to have to try to get back into that. I just am going to start my first project with lace weight. #10 needles sounds really big!! And I think I would have to use harmonies instead of Options, too. You are a girl after my own heart!! I've got a quilt started too... well, the wedding present for the mom of this new nephew to be that got the BSJ!! The wedding was July of 2008!! Argh. Oh well. They will get it eventually. I always tell my kids, "I only have two hands." btw- what is the name of the shawl from Meg's Handknitting? I'd like to look it up on Ravelry. I'm planning to start the Windbraut Spitzbergen Shawl Mystery KAL for my lace weight. They are five weeks in already... I might get it started before they finish it, I don't know!

Thanks Cellogirl! I didn't think about putting a design in relief. At one time, I thought about charting out some letters and putting "Sweet dreams, baby boy" or something like that around the outside section. But I'm afraid I don't have energy for that. This one is supposed to be my easy, mindless knitting project right now. I have 2 colorwork projects on the needles right now and am really itching to start a lace shawl and a tablecloth. So, I'm trying to keep it really simple. :) -Peggy aka Pickles.

Thanks for the encouragement about Puck!! He was made with red clothes because my hubs knew the baby's dad likes the Redwings (Hockey team). The sweater was made with scraps I had because I couldn't get the mom to respond to my email asking for her preferred colors! I sent her the KP link to shine sport with no help. She told me she got the email, but I guess it wasn't important to her. I just used what I had, then. Oh well. :) So glad YOU liked it! Was a lot of fun. Am planning to cast on another one with the KAL.

Thanks for your comments about the vest! I really enjoyed it. I'll be looking forward to hearing more details about your new ASJ.

Oh, that's so wonderful!! I really did think it would work. Thanks for letting me know! I will use that on my next Baby one. I have some lavendar and white self striping baby acrylic that will make a funny little jacket. Then I found some acrylic and nylon that feels like angora the other day- it's a lighter lavender, but I'm going to use it for the i-cord. I'm going to look for pictures of your adult surprise! Sounds great!
