i am twenty three, i live in texas altho i am originally from florida. i have been knitting for about ten years but mostly make hats. my biggest project thus far has been at 48 x 42 blanket :) however, to some i am not considered a true knitter as i've never been able to use/afford real fibers. i mostly use acrylic and novelty yarns (which i love despite the hatred others have for fur yarn). but it is all a matter of opinion i guess!
i am the oldest of seven children and was homeschooled for nine years. i like to write, knit, and read. my fave author is karen kingsbury.
i am a christian and am glad to see that many other knitters here are,too :)
Check out the afghan on my site that was made as a "sampler" of different techniques done in squares. It started as two squares made from leftover acrylic yarns from a pattern book "200 Knitted Squares" by Jan Eaton. Not an ounce of wool or silk or cotton but one of the most loved afghans in the family. Natural fibers are wonderful, but knitting is fun no matter what you are knitting with. Sounds like you like what you do and that is all that matters!
