my unsolicited advice..? dive right in. I just finished a hooded vest for my granddaughter and learned soooo much from the project. I figured out how and why the bump ends up on the back or front of the work when I knitted or purled. It took me 3/4 of the project, but man was I happy. Pretty silly, but the point was, step by step, with the help of knitting help.com and good visual instructions from the book - I did it. Socks are my next project and I'm not afraid at all. GO FOR IT !!!! ( Well, I picked something that looked easy...lol )
