About Me:
I'm the newest member of the Knitpicks Design Team! I've been knitting since I was a little girl, I knit English, love wool, and used metal needles until our Zephyrs came out and I was finally reunited with my first needle love, acrylic! (yes, it's true.) I look forward to getting to know you all!

Fraternal Twins

For some reason, I'm rebelling against my summer knitting.

Last weekend, I didn't want to work on my socks, or my lace, or my cotton tshirt projects. They all require concentration that I didn't have, and trying to work on them just felt tedious and frustrating. So I cast on for a… Continue

Finally Done!

With my City Tweed Sweater, that is!

I'm very, very happy with this piece. What else can I say? It was a long project, but enjoyable at every step of the way, the yarn is luscious, the sweater is warm, but thanks to the lace patterning, not stifling, and I'm wearing it today even tho… Continue

Coming up to the finish line

I finished the sleeves for my Oblique, finally!

I blocked the fronts and backs already and I'm hoping that these sleeves take only a day to dry, because I have another flight this weekend and I… Continue

Thanks again for all the info on the Pimlico Shrug. I got the book a couple of days ago and love every project in it. I can't wait to show it to my 18-year-old daughter--I may finally be able to hook her back into knitting. Now I am waiting for your Tidings of Joy kit to come in so I can get some Christmas ornaments done. Winter has come early and unusually cold in Central Texas, so I should be knitting warm things to wear! Snow this morning and an expected low tonight of 18!!!! AAAGGGHHHH!!

Thanks for the info, Nina. I just ordered the book--looks like really great projects! Do you mind suggesting a yarn for the shrug? I'd like to get something ordered so I can work on it right away--or whenever the mood strikes!

Nina, I was just watching your video for the "Tidings of Joy" kit and I was very distracted by the shrug you were wearing. Can you please share some information on that so I may make one for myself?
Thanks!

What a beautiful sweater! It looks so cozy! I can't wait to start on my first sweater once my Christmas knitting is done - its my incentive to keep on track! My plan is to use City Tweed but in DK since I am in GA... so far the Comfy Cardigan is my pattern of choice.

Nina,
Thank you so much for the help for the Little Bubbles sweater. That is exactly what I was doing wrong. I have never had to M1 increase that way before.
Now I can knit on.
Thanks Again,
Terah

Nina,
Thanks for responding so quickly. I realize that the KP crew has been extremely busy, what with all the "new" stuff you are offering, new KALs, new colors and weights of yarn. I'll keep my eye out for the pattern. Susan

Nina,
Has KP put the Little Bubbles Set pattern on the webpage yet. I've been watching for it, and have ordered my yarn. I was just curious when it would be available.

thanks, Susan
