About Me:

My first introduction to knitting was a total disaster.Growing up in Germany we had to knit Teddy Bears in 2nd grade.My Mom thought we were making mittens as my sisters had in previous years and bought this frog green yarn. Trust me , it was the ugliest bear ever! In 7th grade however, I just "had" to have this hat which could not be bought anywhere, but my Mom's best friend had found instructions for knitting it. Trick was: I had to make it myself with her help! Thank you Frau Nestmann!!! I have been an avid knitter ever since, sometimes professionally, mostly just as a hobby. And yes: I also have made a beautiful teddy bear a few years back and have overcome my traumatic 2nd grade experience.
