The Corrie has made me want buy heaps of Palette... perchance the Colorwork KAL will be irresistable whn the Corrie is finished. Keep on knitting! I think we might some of the only who chose the BOLD colorway. :)
hi Laura!
sorry for the late response...(oops)
You can steek! I know it's scary...I was terrified, but you can do it, I promise.
The easiest way to overcome the fear is to just do it and if cutting a knitted piece of fabric that you've spent hours working on, makes your head spin - then whip a little practice swatch for a trial run. That's what I did! HERE is a link for a tutorial on the crocheted steek. Check it out when you've got an extra minute!
good luck, Susan xxx
To answer your question about my mom, my mom's family lives in Orrville, Oh (where Smuckers jelly comes from) However my mom did not grow up in Ohio. My grandparents moved there after she was married.
I am with a mission agency called World Baptist Fellowship in Arlington, Tx. I am affiliated with the Dalton Baptist Church in Dalton, Oh. I went to collage very close to there and my pastor was actually one of my teachers.
Our 'home' (grandpa's house) is on the north end of Amish country in Ohio. If you have heard of Lehman's Hardware, they are very close to that.
I don't mind answering questions. That is one thing I am good at being a missionary and an MK.
Where is Apollo, PA? My mom's family lives mostly in Ohio so I was wondering how close you were. Our home church is also in Ohio. I was also wondering about that beautiful quilt that ws in your pictures. Was that a ministry project? And if you are working on quilts do you live near Amish country?
Portugal is in Europe next to Spain. So I live in Portugal and Europe. Don't worry though I have been answering that question since I was about 5. No I am not Portuguese even though there are days I feel like it. I am an American Missionary living in Portugal. I was raised here because my parents are also missionaries and where in Portugal for 17 Years. They now live in Moçambique, Africa. I am hoping to add to my list of countries I have been in and visit them soon. I have been to 7 including the US and Portugal and 45 of the lower 48. (Missing Arizona, Nevada, And Maine.)
Thanks for the comment on my page. Sorry it took so long to get back to you. Trying to get through 500 messages from Knitting Community. :) I live on the Oregon Coast in North Bend, OR right next to Coos Bay, OR.
Wow I saw from your pictures that you have been to Moscow. Where else have you been? I also like your Corri vest. That is the one I would pick too, all those bold colors mixed up like that. Looking good!
Laura, I agreea! I first joina the Mr. F KAL thinking I would just reada. I started answering some. Then I got involved in the Give One Away KAL and got completely hooked. I thinka sometime in Maya there was a very clever guya spamming by placing it on everyone's page over a weekend in the active KALs. That is everyone but KP employees. The only way I could think to warn everyone was to join each one and start a discussion. KP then stepped in and took care of it. So officially I'm a member of every KAL and I'm active in about half. I spend a lot of time reading and commenting. So I am definitelya hooka'd on the KALas.
I also am on facebook but only use it to try to keep up with some of my younger friends.
This group has definitely been an education, not just for knitting but also for laughter.
